OUR FOCUS AREAS

The Geffrard Foundation works to create opportunities, strengthen families, and improve quality of life in communities where resources are limited. Our work focuses on four key areas:

HOUSING

We help individuals and families pursue safe, stable housing and greater independence, with a particular focus on helping single mothers build secure futures for themselves and their children.

EDUCATION

We support access to educational resources, literacy, technology, and learning opportunities that help children and communities grow and thrive.

SUPPORT

We provide practical assistance to individuals and communities facing difficult circumstances, including support related to disaster relief, food, clothing, personal hygiene, and other essential needs.

DEVELOPMENT

We support initiatives that strengthen communities through partnerships, clean water, renewable energy, transportation, recreation, and other projects that can create lasting opportunities.

OUR PROGRAMS

Our programs are shaped by the needs of the communities we serve. Through direct assistance, community initiatives, and partnerships with other organizations, we work to turn opportunities into meaningful and lasting change.

HOUSING & HOMEOWNERSHIP

We help single mothers and families pursue safe, stable housing and greater independence. Whenever possible, we aim to help eligible mothers secure a home and title deed in their own name.

EDUCATION & LITERACY

We support schools, libraries, and communities by providing educational materials and resources that encourage learning, literacy, and opportunity for children and families.

HUMANITARIAN & DISASTER RELIEF

We provide assistance to communities affected by disasters and difficult circumstances, including medical and educational supplies, financial support, and emergency resettlement efforts.

COMMUNITY ASSISTANCE

We help individuals facing hardship by providing essential items such as food, clothing, water, and personal hygiene products, while partnering with local organizations.

SAFE WATER & SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPEMENT

We support initiatives that improve access to clean water and promote sustainable solutions, including community well projects and renewable energy efforts.

CYCLING & COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

Through cycling and recreation initiatives, we promote health, transportation, community connection, and local economic opportunity while helping provide bicycles to children in need.

COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS

We work alongside churches, nonprofits, businesses, and community organizations to address local needs and create opportunities that strengthen families and communities.
